• Hello,

I woke up this morning to find that the “subscribe” links had disappeared from my homepage. One of them is still there, but there is a bit of code actually showing on the homepage, and no way to click through.

There were also some error messages on my dashboard. Here is what they are:

Warning: fopen(/nfs/c04/h06/mnt/180828/domains/seejanedrill.com/html/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/mailchimp-for-wp.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /nfs/c04/h06/mnt/180828/domains/seejanedrill.com/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4183

Warning: fread() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /nfs/c04/h06/mnt/180828/domains/seejanedrill.com/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4186

Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /nfs/c04/h06/mnt/180828/domains/seejanedrill.com/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4189

I have no idea what to make of this. The timing is particularly bad, because we were just mentioned in an article in a national magazine, and have had double the amount of unique visitors today than usual. It is killing me that we are missing out on potential subscribers, and my usual go-to person to help with these things is unavailable.

    my website is: https://www.seejanedrill.com

    Thanks in advance,
    Leah

I suspect your hosting provider may have shut out a few server functions for (misguided) “security” reasons, but let’s try ruling out the things we actually can control first.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

If neither of those work, what version of mailchimp-for-wp are you running?
