Subscribe2 confusion

Ever since I upgrade to WP2 and subscribe2 2.2.2 I am not sure if it’s working correctly anymore.

Everything worked fine on the older installation but now I am wondering several things:

I don’t want people to have to register on my site. Before you were able to set a lot more features in the admin panel and now it’s only limited to registered user – which I think is a bit of a pain.

When you get the link to the confirmation page and click it it shows some strange posts underneath..is that a bug or an error on my side?

I included the subscribe to e-mail feature in my sidebar but entering the e-mail there just opens the subscribe page and they have to enter the e-mail again.

Besides those issues it also doesn’t display the link to the unsubscribe page and reads like this in the e-mails:

“You received this e-mail because you asked to be notified when I update my
website.
If you no longer wish to receive notifications then please visit: LINK”

Which is quite embarassing :/

If anyone had the time to look into this for me I would GREATLY appreciate this. Thanks in advance ??
