• I’m digging subscribe2 for its potential to provide a one-stop solution for my mailing list… but I want folks to receive the full content of a post without having to “register” on the site.

As I understand it, simply subscribing (not registering, just giving an e-mail) defaults to receiving an excerpt of a post, forcing people to link over to the actual site. Kind of defeats the purpose of receiving it in e-mail!

Is there a way to hack the script so that the entire content of the post is sent? I’m using the latest versions of Subscribe2 and WordPress.

    Thanks!

  • Doesn’t Subscribe2 have a setting for this in its admin (Options > Subscribe2)? Last I looked it over it did.

The new version seems to indicate that only registered users get the full post. I want *all* subscribers to get the full post.

I was wondering the same. I don’t really understand why Skippy changed that feature. It was more convenient in the older version.

Specially if you don’t allow people to register with your site like I do.

Ye tascha, I think the same. I don’t allow people to register either..and anyway with this last version i can’t even see the form in the page that i’ve created so i don’t know…do you know any other plugin that provide a similar service?

For me, I want this plugin but with a Digest option (so the email is sent once a day, or once a week — not immediately when I publish the post).

The reason is, often my posts are an ongoing live-review of an event. So I keep editing the post for 2 hours. At the end of the event, the post is complete, and then it can be emailed.
