    Since updating to 3.1 I’ve had to deactivate Subscribe2 or else the header menu does not show up and the RSS widget does not appear either.

  • @drew,

    Make sure that in Settings->Subscribe2 you have set the number of recipients per email to 1 and for posts to be sent from an admin account on the same domain as your blog.

    Your problem is a different one than the original problem. Please start a new one for your problem.

    @mattyrob:
    1. I set the “number of recipients per email” to 1, and I later set it to 25, and both numbers appear to have worked.
    –However, the number that I change that setting to does not get retained when I go back to the Settings–Subscribe2 page. I have tried this on 3 browsers (Firefox4, IE9, and Chrome).
    –At “”Restrict the number of recipients per email to (0 for unlimited):” I click “edit” and that opens “edit revert”. I type in 1 (and I later typed in 25 for another test), then I clicked “Update” and the number field showed “1” and both times (when I typed 1 and 25), after I clicked in the area to create a new post, and then came back to the Subscribe2 settings page, that number was 0 again.
    –I have bought the manual for Subscribe2, and from my understanding of the field you are talking about, entering “1” would send the post to only a single email recipient at a time. Is that correct? It seems like 1 is an inappropriate setting, and I thought the preferred setting was “0” which I understand to mean that the email can be sent to an unlimited number of recipients (subject to limitations imposed by the host). I guess I don’t understand you advice to set that to 1.

    2. On the second item in your message, its hard for me to understand what you are saying, but I looked at my admin account email address from which these emails are sent, it it is definitely on the same domain as my blog (and was when Subscribe2 was working before I installed WordPress 3.1).

    @drew,

    To get that setting to ‘stick’ you need to click the submit button at the bottom of the page as well.

    Also, as Princess_Giggles rightly points out, your issue is different so please open a new thread so we can aid other users.
