Subscribe2 not sending out confirmation email to new blog subscribers?

    Hi

    I’ve been using Subscribe2 for a while but someone recently alerted me to the fact that it’s just not working.

    When people go to this page to submit their email…

    …on pressing the subscribe button it then drops them onto our About page

    I decided to check for myself and put in an email address I’ve never used on the site before. After subscribing I went to the email account but couldn’t find the automated confirmation email.

    Everything looks fine in the WP-Admin pages for Subscribe2 but it’s just not doing what it says on the tine anymore.

    The last genuine sign-up seems to have been months ago.

    could it be something outside of WP and to do with our host?

    Basically Subscribe2 doesn’t provide error reporting so I’ve no idea what’s going on ‘under the hood’?

    Any ideas?

    If you take a look at the source code for the form at:
    https://www.ennclick.com/about/subscribe-updates

    You will see that it is posting the submitted content to the page you arrive at. Of course Subscribe2 is not available on that page and that’s why it isn’t working.

    It’s a simple fix, go to Subscribe2->Settings and then the Appearance tab. In the drop down box at the top you need to select your ‘subscribe-updates’ page rather than the ‘about’ page and then save the settings. That should get things working.

    I’m new to blogging, but I’m using a host (InMotion) and wordpress on https://chasingfog.com

    I have installed and activated Subscribe2 and checked the settings based on the FAQs and forums I’ve found thus far for this plugin. I’ve had several people tell me they have never received the confirmation email. I’ve tried two of my email addresses and same thing–no conf email. It also shows on my Subscribe2 settings that I have no subscribers.

    Specific help steps would be great! Thanks!!
