Subscribe2: Registered subscribers have no default setting
-
I am running the latest Subscribe2 Plugin. I have some regular subscribers and some people who have registered to my blog so they can manage their subscriptions. The second group of people should automatically be considered “registered subscribers” (the far left column on the manage> subscribe page.
Unfortunately, half are not considered “registered subscribers” and are not getting updates emailed to them. I have gone through everything and tried myself and when I logged in as a new subscriber the default under “subscriptions” is to have no radial button checked for “Email contains:” If they have not selected Email contains: Excerpt only or Full Post then they will get nothing.
Is there somewhere in the PHP file where I can go in to ensure that this radial button is by default set to excerpt? I don’t think most people, after registering, are going back and managing their subscription. I would hate to make things more complicated for them.
On another note, the plugin states that these registers subscribers can go in and decide what categories they are subscribed to. Well, the plugin says it’s set to default that they are registered for all categories. However, when a subscriber goes into their settings all of the categories are there under a heading “Subscribed Categories” with blank check boxes. This would lead me to believe that I am not subscribed to any of those categories. If they are, by default, subscribed to all then why would those boxes be there?
Thanks for reading all of this, after goign through all of the documentation and glancing at the php file I’m not entierly sure how it’s supposed to work.
