Subscribe2 vanished? Widget Pro will not activate without it

    Hi,

    First of all, the basic Subscribe2 plugin seems to have vanished altogether from the plugin directory!

    Secondly, when trying to install the Widget Pro version, it refuses to activate without the basic Subscribe2 plugin, which is no longer available. Here’s the error message I get:

    Subscribe2 Widget Pro plugin requires Subscribe2 to be installed and activated to work properly. Please install the Subscribe2 plugin and reactivate Subscribe2 Widget Pro.

    Will the basic plugin reappear any time soon?

    Hi there,

    We are not the developers of the Subscribe2 plugin, but we reached out and found out that it has just been reopened again. From their changelog, it looks like there was a security issue and that it’s not been patched. Make sure to update ASAP.

    I am trying to install “subscribe2 widget pro” plugin : https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/subscribe2-widget-pro/ but, it gives me below fatal error.

    Subscribe2 Widget Pro plugin requires Subscribe2 to be installed and activated to work properly. Please install the Subscribe2 plugin and reactivate Subscribe2 Widget Pro.

    My website’s wordpress version is 3.9.9.

    Also, I have not found “Subscribe2” plugin.

    Any help would be appreciated.
