• First, I’ve read the FAQ, and it doesn’t refer to my specific problem, so don’t reply me with this link to the documentation, but actually try to help me.

I’ve been using the e-mail subscribers plugin and in the begginging it worked perfectly, but for some time now it rarely sends any notifications at all.

I use SMTP mailer (Gmail SMTP plugin, if that matters) that works just fine. My subscribers are all in Confirmed state and it is not like the mails are blocked, becauseif they were, the problem would be permanent but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Here’s exmaple of how it works:

I write a new post on May 31st. All of my subscribers get notified.
Since then I wrote 3 more posts. No notifications were sent.
Then at June 10th I wrote a test post to check, if the plugin works. Suprisingly it sent the notification jut fine.
Since then I wrote 7 new post and again, no notification was sent even once for any of them.

The messages of course are not found in spam folder and no reports are sent to my e-mail. Is this plugin restricted to only some post categories or is that supoposed not to notify subscribers about every post I make?

I’m just getting frustrated, because I’ve spent two days trying various SMTP plugins so the messages won’t end in spam and when I finally managed to get this right, the Subscriber plugin started to act to its own liking.

Oh, and I also use the GDPR plugin, if it’s also important.

    @nidrax ,

To many how subscribers you are sending emails?
It is possible that you have reached your daily limit to send emails and hence emails are not getting sent. Please can you find out what is your daily limit to send emails and if you were exceeding that?

If that was the case, the plugin would send messages to just a few of them, but it sends no e-mails at all.

I have only three subscribers r/n, so I’d had to write around 170 posts daily to hit Gmail send limit (500 messages).

Caution: nidrax, it’s not a good idea to let anyone have back end access to your site. If that is asked please let me know here in this topic.

    Hi Jan,

Am I doing something wrong by asking client to contact via *our* website? Just wanted to find the cause of why emails are not sending from client end.

    Here’s the thing.

You can and should do what you like on your own site. But if that’s going to be your reply then I suggest that you ask about closing the plugin and support forum here OR at least put a sticky topic on your forum here saying something like this.

This plugin is not supported in these forums due to the conditions of supporting users here and taking a shortcut to log into your system.

That’s not permitted here and we’ll send you a link and or email address where we can ask you to let us take the extraordinary step of letting complete strangers access you backend and possibly your hosting account.

See where I am going with this?

The users here are not your customer. You have no relationship with them that has any financial backing at all.

Again, you can send people to your site and again, what you do there is your business. But please reconsider and think about what I’ve posted.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
