In the past the subscribers to my site received notification emails that displayed both the text and images from my latest blog post. Now they only receive the text. I have checked this by subscribing to my own site. The emails received on my PC (windows mail) and my iPhone 12 are both unable display any images. I have not changed any of my site configuration or the sources of my photos. Any thoughts?

    Thanks, Tony

    Hi @tonyurwin

We’ve recently made some changes to the Subscription emails. However, when I tested this, I was able to receive images in the emails without the issue that you are reporting.

Can you confirm that your email clients are set to allow images to load? Many email clients block image loading by default. On Apple Mail, you would need to make sure the setting “Load Remote Images” is enabled.

Hi – One of my subscribers has a Samsung Galaxy and said the problem only started happening a couple of weeks ago. I tested it yesterday on both my PC and iPhone 12 and had the same problem. I have just checked my iPhone and the “Block all remote content” option is disabled. Could I suggest that you subscribe to my blog. I will be posting again in the next couple of days and you can test it on your device at the same time? Thanks, Tony

    Hello @tonyurwin,

Thanks for the follow-up. It sounds like you might have stumbled upon a bug following the latest changes we made in the Subscription feature.

    We’re tracking it here:

Can you confirm to me once again if all the images aren’t displayed or just the featured image?

I have subscribed to your blog with my email address, so once you publish a post again, I can re-check it via laptop and mobile.

Hi – I can confirm that no images are displayed. It is not just the featured image. Thanks, Tony

    Hi @tonyurwin

You seem to experience a bug that isn’t the one we’ve already referenced on our end, so I’d appreciate it if you reach out to us here instead and mention a link to this thread, so we can proceed and investigate this further.

Hi – I am confused. My system won’t allow me to follow the link you gave.

I have already received this response from your colleague:

    Hi there,

Since we are tracking issues at GitHub, I’m closing this topic for now, and you can subscribe to the issue at GitHub in order to get updates.

I’ve been having the same problem for at least a year. It began with updating my Mac to the Monterey OS version; I’ve investigated and modified various security settings, as recommended by other, to no avail. I’m thinking the problem is in Jetpack’s e-mail software.
