Is this the place to go for WP support help? If not, what is the support forum?

Subscribers can’t login. Once registered with a random password, subscribers cannot login through the login link provided right after they change their password. To login, subscribers must go to the website to login and it works there.

When someone is registered and a random password is sent, how can instructions to change the password and then go to the website to login (and not to use the login link provided) be sent? Put these instructions in the TOS because I thought the TOS checkbox on the “Add user” form meant the TOS would included in the email sent to subscribers but it isn’t.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • The other option you can enter manually as Admin. The Admin role can add the subscribers name and info and reset the password for them.

Thanks, I did manually enter all the users and want to have the user change the random password to something they would like. Problem is when they change the password they can only login by going to the website, using the login link provided when one changes the password does not work. On top of that there is no way I can include instructions on how to login in the email the site sends out. I could send everyone an email but that seems a bit cumbersome.

Talk about cumbersome, subscribers should be able to register themselves, have be approve the registration and then login without a problem. That does not happen and is why I had to manually enter every user.

    Hi,

Because people had problems logging in, I manually registered all 64 members of our chapter through the WP “add a new member form”. That form sends a random password the registered user can change. When the user changes the password they get a link to login using the new password. It is at this point the user gets blocked. Not sure if WP or Word Fence is blocking the user and have posted this on the WF help forum too.

The user can only login after they change the random password if they go to our website. If they use the link to login with the new password they get blocked. Using the WP login form may not be the problem. Registered users cannot login because, I think, WF blocks them. Even I, the admin, get blocked!

The WP new member form has a TOS check box. What is it for? I thought it would send the new user our TOS so I put they must login by going to the website in our TOS but the form does not send our TOS to new users.

    Thanks,

    Tom
