I use welcome mails for my course users: As soon as they buy a course, they get e-mails after 1, 2 etc weeks. This i do by subscribing them to a course-list. This works well.
Now i want customers-to-be first subscribe to a list, send them informational e-mails. This works! (just the way the other mails work)
But: If they buy the course lateron, and get subscribed to the course-list too, they don’t get the welcome mails of the course.
They are subscribed, but it seems as if already known subscribers to another list, wont get welcome mails when subscribing to another list!

    Hi @fredsteetsel,

As I understand, this is a regular Welcome Email you’re sending to your customers, is that correct? If so, this can be a Welcome Email set to be sent to WordPress Users in a specific role (i.e.: Customer) or set to be sent when a new subscriber joins a particular list (i.e.: List X).

Then if you have a WooCommerce automated email set to be sent to them once they purchase a specific product for the first time (i.e.: Course A), they should receive these emails.

Can you please share more details on the steps you’re taking to have these customers added to both lists?

First they are customers to be and subscribed to a list through a form. This works: They reveceive the welcome-e-mails according to the rules set. Let’s call this list: intromails.
Then, after they decide to buy something, they are also added to another list (say customers) through the interface with Woocommerce, (this works) and should be getting other welcome e-mails for which i have set the rules. Those e-mails are never sent.

To be clear: I dont use the trigger: First buy through Woocommerce. I use just another welcome-email.

    Hi there @fredsteetsel ????

To be clear: I dont use the trigger: First buy through Woocommerce. I use just another welcome-email.

Mhh, that’s quite odd, if I am getting this right, it should work.

    – Can you confirm that you are using the latest MailPoet version?
    – Have you verified that users appear as subscribed to the WooCommerce list?

Please keep us posted, we’ll be glad to keep troubleshooting this issue with you.

    Thanks

    Hi there @fredsteetsel,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

The strange thing is: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. With new subscribers to Mailpoet it works great. But existing subscribers, adding them to a new list doesn’t trigger the action.
