I have a question pertaining the jetpack subscription shortcode explained at https://jetpack.com/support/subscriptions/ on my self-hosted WP sites.

I read the full documentation, but cannot find what I like to do. I’m using a frontpage theme on my WP sites that I love, but when it comes to blog part of the site I don’t like it so much. I’ve been going over a couple of scenario’s the past few weeks of perhaps changing the theme altogether, or using https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jonradio-multiple-themes/ plugin to keep everything on 1 site which obviously has a lot of benefits when it comes to particular licenses. But can’t seem to make that work

Thus my question: is it possible to add a parameter to the [jetpack_subscription_form] to subscribe to a different wordpress site synced into the same jetpack? cause then I can just install a 2nd WP on a (sub)domain and use the shortcode to link towards it. Or are there easier ways?

Looking forward to your or anyone’s response.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I’m afraid that can’t be done. The Subscription form can only be used to subscribe to the site the form is on.

Instead of creating 2 WordPress installations, that will take more work to maintain, I’d recommend looking for a theme that offers multiple page templates. Those templates allow you to choose between different layouts, different page structures, on different pages of your site.
Most modern themes offer a couple of page templates by default, but some offer a lot more. This is usually promoted in the theme description.

Another alternative would be to use a theme like Make: this theme includes a builder, that will allow you to choose a specific layout for each one of your pages, through a drag and drop interface.

    I hope this helps!
