Subscription based website that sells memberships

Hi, I need someone to guide me in the right direction.

I will be hosting a subscription based website that sells memberships for access to digital downloads (all of which will be free and unlimited once a membership is purchased). The digital downloads can only be downloaded by members who have purchased a subscription. Guests to the website who have NOT yet purchased a membership can still browse the website and view the digital downloads, they just can’t download them. If they attempt to click the download button on the digital product, a window will pop up directing them to purchase a membership. The subscription will be recurring unless the customer cancels.

What plugin(s) should I use to make this happen?

*Note: I’ve done plenty of research so far. However, there are SO many different plugins and options, I’m a bit overwhelmed and need some advise from experienced individuals.
