Subscription: Confirmation message – phrase doesn’t show up in some cases

  • Hi guys,

    I have a problem on my forum after cliking on link for subscription to some topic on main page of that topic – there’s no errors, but no confirmation message – phrase in the right corner of the page shows up. It means that user recieves an confirmation email, but there’s no info on the page that it was successful and email was sent. If user click at the confirmation link in email, then (on a new page) the confirmation message already is, so there’s problem only by the first step.

    If user try to manage subscriptions in his profile, everyhing works and messages are shown in all cases of subscripions and unsubscriptions.

    Could you please help me to find reason (and solution) why just only in case of cliking on link on the main page of topic messages don’t work?

    Hi,

    could someone please help me with the problem described above? I really don’t know the reason and I did an actualization of WPForo Forum today, but the problem is still there. Moreover, when someone make a new registration, the phrase with “Success! Now check your email for confirmation” is not shown after clicking on the buttom “Registrate”, but it will show after he clicks on confirmation link in email when he already see the page with changing password. That’s wrong.

    Could you please help me with that?

    Hi @olliewp,
    Please let us know if you have done any manipulation with wpForo Phrases. It seems you’ve left empty those phrases or put some non-Unicode characters.

    I’d suggest click on [Rebuilt Phrases] button in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page. Then click on [Delete Phrase] cache.

    Also please check problems in Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Debug Tab. Check those in Tables and in Error s & Issues sub-tabs.

    thank you for your answer.

    Yes, I translated almost all phrases to Czech.

    I did all what you wrote, but nothing change and in Debug Tab in Errors & Issues is written just “No issues found”.

    I think I haven’t left those phrases emtpy, I tried to find those phrases in my admin and they’re all there. Maybe I used some non-Unicode character, but I don’t have any idea which one could it be, beacuse I used the same characters in all phrases and all others work. And as I wrote before, the phrase in profil is shown after subscribing or unsubscribing topis right in the profile, it doesn’t work just on the main page of the topic.

    What should I try now?
