Subscription Form to partecipate to a Public Group?

    I know that everyone can see and subscribe to a public group. Is it possible to have a subscription form to partecipate (write post) in a public group? Example: a member can read all content of a public group and if he like it he ask the permission to write, partecipate. This process is very common and used in facebook.
