    Hello,

    We’ve been using the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway with the YITH Subscription plugin for subscription orders. Recently, we’ve noticed that a few subscription renewals have failed due to ‘no card saved’ in Stripe. I reached out to YITH, and they informed me that due to a recent update, the ‘Save payment information to my account for future purchases’ checkbox must now be ticked for auto-recurring payments to work.

    Many customers are not noticing this option, and we risk losing more subscription customers as a result. I would like to know if this issue will be addressed in the future. YITH Subscription plugin support has advised me that ‘this depends on the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin, so it’s out of their control.’

    The requirement for the ‘Save payment information to my account for future purchases’ checkbox to be ticked is indeed a feature of the Stripe Payment Gateway and not the YITH plugin.

    We understand how this feature has impacted your business. Therefore, I suggest that you consider adding a note or tooltip near the checkbox to draw your customers’ attention to it. This might help reduce the number of missed recurring payments.

    I appreciate the suggestion to add a note or tooltip near the checkbox. However, prior to this recent update, customers did not need to check the ‘Save payment information to my account for future purchases’ box for auto-recurring payments to work. This change seems to have affected subscriptions that were functioning smoothly before.

    Is there any way to adjust the settings or make changes so that, when purchasing a subscription product, customers wouldn’t need to tick this checkbox, as it was before?

    I can check thoroughly and determine if there is a way around this.
