    Dear WooCommerce Experts,

Thank you for reading this question. I am asking whether it is possible, suppose we have a product on sales and it has a subscription fee, so upon purchase, the customer is charged and the next subscription is 4 weeks (28 days) later.

My manager and I are wondering if there is a way on WooCommerce that upon purchase the product, the customer is charged immediately, but next day the customer is charged by the product’s subscription, it is not 4 weeks (28 days), but 25 days, so we are looking for a function that can push the subscription date to 3 or more days ahead. We need to have this function set automatically, we don’t have manual change.

For the second subscription, it happens 4 weeks later, because the first subscription is already set 3 days before the original time period of 4 weeks, then this second subscription is also 3 days before the second subscriptions original time period of 4 days.

So the key is to have the first subscription’s payment date to set a few days before the original payment date.

The reason we are doing it is because we need a few days, say 3 days, to prepare the subscription product.

    Thank you!

    Kevin

    Hello @kevinlutoronto,

If I understand you correctly, you want to charge customers today but delay when the subscription start.

I can see you’re already using WooCommerce Subscriptions from another thread so to achieve this you only need the Custom Start Date for WooCommerce Subscriptions extension.

All extensions sold on WooCommerce.com have a 30-day refund policy. If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to provide a full refund.

    Hope this helps!

    Dear Saif and WooCommerce Community,

Thank you for your reply. I will use concrete example to explain my question. Currently, below is the current customer’s payment schedule,

Jan 20, 2023 – Makes a purchase and makes the first payment. The following subscription comes every 4 weeks.

Feb 17, 2023 – 1st subscription, note that this subscription is 4 weeks after the payment made on Jan 20th.

Mar 17, 2023 – 2nd subscription, note that this subscription is 4 weeks after the 1st subscription on Feb 17.

Apr 14, 2023 – 3rd subscription, note that this subscription is 4 weeks after the 2nd subscription on Mar 17.

Now is the way I want this to be,

Jan 20, 2023 – Makes a purchase and makes the first payment. The first subscription comes after 25 days.

Feb 14, 2023 – 1st subscription, note that this subscription is 25 days after the payment made on Jan 20th.

Mar 14, 2023 – 2nd subscription, note that this subscription is 4 weeks after the 1st subscription on Feb 14.

Apr 11, 2023 – 3rd subscription, note that this subscription is 4 weeks after the 2nd subscription on Mar 14.

As you can see above, in the way I want, my 1st subscription comes 25 days after the initial payment, and every recurring subscription after the 1st subscription happens every 4 weeks. In the other words, I need to have the first subscription happens 3 days earlier than the originally-planned subscription and the following subscriptions must be 4 weeks apart.

Is there a way to do it?

    Kevin
