I am considering a Mail Poet subscription, but would like to be certain of my options before I do.

As I understand it, Mail Poet 3 operates as follows:
? the free version allows me to send unlimited messages per day to 1000 subscribers, regardless of whether I use Mail Poet’s own sending service, my own host’s service, or a third party provider such as Send Grid or Amazon SES.

? If I have more than 1000 subscribers, my options are to

    (a) subscribe to Mail Poet Premium and use the Mail Poet sending service. I can still send unlimited emails each day, but there is a charge for the service which increases as the number of subscribers increases.

    (b) Purchase an annual subscription for Mail Poet Premium only (currently EU 149.00 pa for a Blogger licence) and use a third party provider to send messages. This would allow me to have an unlimited number of subscribers, with the limit on the daily send rate and the cost thereof being determined by the third party provider.

? The annual subscription for the Blogger licence gives me exactly the same product that I would get if I chose to buy Premium and use Mail Poet’s sending service

I would appreciate it if someone can confirm that I am correct.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

In short, everything you listed is correct except this:

the free version allows me to send unlimited messages per day to 1000 subscribers, regardless of whether I use Mail Poet’s own sending service, my own host’s service, or a third party provider such as Send Grid or Amazon SES.

If you use a third-party provider with the free 0 – 1000 subscriber the rule applied would be the same as using a third-party provider with one of our Premium Plans with no sending – it would depend on the limit and cost set by your sending service. It would work similarly to what you’ve described for the case where you’d be using a Premium Plan with a third-party sending seervice:

This would allow me to have an unlimited number of subscribers, with the limit on the daily send rate and the cost thereof being determined by the third party provider.

Also, if you use the 0 – 1000 plan with a third-party sending service (instead of using MailPoet service you wouldn’t have the following things:

    – Access to Premium support
    – Premium features (detailed stats, no MP logo)
    – Beacon support access

    I hope this clarifies!
