Subscription problems

Let me see if I can explain this succinctly. I just finished transitioning from WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com, and everything seemed to be OK with my subscribers. Upgraded to WP 6.3 yesterday. This morning I got a message that I had been disconnected from Jetpack. I reconnected. Everything seemed pretty much OK.
But I’m concerned about what may have happened to my subscribers. As far as I can tell, they all seem to be there. (I wish I could grab a spreadsheet of them, as I could with .com.) But after I didn’t get an email this morning after I posted something, I subscribed using the subscribe button on my site. When I checked at the subscription manager, I saw that I had been added as a new WordPress Reader subscriber, not an email reader — which is not what I thought the subscribe button was supposed to do.Then I tried again using my Yahoo burner account. Got an email, verified it — and nothing at the subscription manger.
So I don’t know what’s going on.
