Subscription to a category/taxonomy term

Hello.

Is your plugin able to implement a subscription to a specific category or taxonomy term? I mean, when a post is published, an email is sent to the subscriber with the new post, but only if they are subscribed to that category.

I have so far found a “Post Notifications” setting with notifications of new postings, but that works globally. I’d like to see this action – a person subscribes to a specific category or taxonomy term and that user is only sent a notification if the post was published in the exact category they are subscribed to.

If this is not implemented in the plugin, please advise… maybe you have some actions in the plugin that will allow me to manually filter by category or taxonomy term? I mean the action that is triggered when an email is sent with information about a new post on the site.
