    Hello –
I use both the membership and the subscription plugin. I am allowing my members to renew their subscriptions manually – and I am not using the fast “renewal modal”. Now, when a member clicks on the “Renew Now” button on the Subscriptions page, they get immediately sent to the checkout page.
How can I change this that “Renew Now” goes to the cart page instead?
(On the cart page, I can show linked products that I hope the member will add prior to checking out).
I found some hints here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/subscriptions/faq/#section-58 – but this apparently works only for new orders, and not work for (manual) renewals.
    Any ideas anyone?

    Hello there,
This would not be possible since renewing is not the same as purchasing a new subscription with an item in the cart.

In this process there is no cart.

I think this might be possible with custom code, but I am not 100% sure. It might need a big code change. I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

I can also recommend the following places for more development-oriented questions:

    Thank you for your reply!
I am just wondering about your statement that there is no cart in this process: When I am on the checkout page I see the icon with my cart – and with one item in the cart. I can click on the cart and see that it holds my subscription renewal as the only item.
At that point, I see my linked products and can add them to the cart – and then return to the checkout.
How would it be possible to get directly to that cart – or am I missing something here?

    Thanks again!

    Hi @braunsch,

As Nicola mentioned, this requires custom development as you’re trying to change the behaviour of a premium plugin.

You’ll want to speak to your developer about this. If you don’t have a go-to developer, we highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
