Subscriptions in cart

Hello, we are encountering an issue with applying coupons to carts that contain products that are also subscriptions. We are attempting to use the ‘Give Away Products’ gift feature of Smart coupons (Free edition). When using the coupon on a cart with regular simple products the functionality works as intended. However, when an item containing a subscription is in the cart, we apply the coupon, the coupon AJAX function fires, gives a success message, but the free item mentioned in the coupon setup doesn’t appear in the cart like it does on a simple product not being bought as a subscription. The Free gift we are using is indeed a simple product like the tool tip on the side of the select menu mentions.
