Subscriptions: Need to Make Resubscription Automatic

  • So I’m using Woocommerce with the Subscriptions extension. The way everything is worded in the documentation, I was under the impression that ‘automatic recurring payments’ would basically result in a subscription automatically re-subscribing, but I found out at the last minute that that’s not the case.

    If a product is billed every month for 6 months, at the end of the six months I need the subscription to automatically renew for another six months, so that a customer’s subscription never runs out unless it is cancelled or payment fails, etc.

    I’m a little crunched for time now. How can I accomplish this?

    Yep, that’s how subscriptions work provided the payment gateway you use supports automated renewal payment. If not, it’ll revert to being a manual renewal that the customer will first need to pay using the available payment gateways / methods.
