Subscriptions – paypal disconnect/sync error

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can assist me in how to reconnect a PayPal recurring payment to my WooCommerce Subscriptions system?
The payment was initiated through our site, and somehow it became unsynchronized from PayPal and doesn’t know it exists anymore. The recurring payment still exists in PayPal, but the website doesn’t recognize that it’s happening. I think the breakdown happened when I had to update which PayPal method was available on the website in early 2021. (Didn’t Woo change it so you needed a special service PayPal offers like “Reference Transactions” or “PayPal Payments Pro”?)
Anyways, long story short I was wondering if its possible to reconnect these transactions without disturbing the subscribers. My current plan is to ask them to cancel and restart their subscription, but there are 20 people, so I’d rather skip that if possible.
If nothing else I wanted to put this out there to see if others have experienced this issue too. From what I could tell this is a unique problem.
