Also, I’m using a plugin to clean up my database, and can’t delete expired transients with Redis Cache enabled, is it for the same reasons?

Yes, they should support that since it’s wp core creating the cache entries for transients.

can you confirm that declaring non-persistent groups is reserved for the pro version?
The plugins with which I have problems (better-search-replace for example) offer me to declare their tables like:

    'non_persistent_groups' => [

It will fix my issue?

That’s for the Pro version, correct.

The free version doesn’t support wild cards:

So with the free version, only way to control what is cached or not, is why the WP_REDIS_IGNORED_GROUPS?

On the free version you need to specify the exact group names in WP_REDIS_IGNORED_GROUPS.
