My desire is for users to register on the sub-site without being directed to the parent site for registration. It sounded like your plug-in may be able to accomplish that.

So, I installed the plug-in and created a page with the shortcode. I chose Per-Site and attached the page with the shortcode. But when I go to that page I only see the heading Join This Site and the Register For An Account button. Is your shortcode supposed to create all of the registration fields on that page too? Because I just don’t see them.

Your plugin sounds great and I’m excited if I can get it to work. I did go through the effort of turning off all other plug-ins and activating twenty-twelve and got the same results.

I am on the current version of BuddyPress, 1.7.2

Thanks for listening and for your time to respond.

There are two shortcodes (and a typo on the page about that, sorry, fixing now)

    [join-my-multisite] makes the forms
    [join-this-site] makes a button

Assuming you used the right one, is registration open on your Multisite?

I just tested (with BuddyPress) and it’s fine.
