When I register from outside the site, it does not give me the option of a new blog or just a username, so subsites are not being set up. I am using the Sitewide Tags plugin, and that separate site was set up, but I am unable to access it. When I try to get to it from the site panel, I am redirected to the dashboard of the main site, and when I try to access it through the URL, I am taken to the front page of the main site.

    Thanks

Thanks for thinking about it. I sure would like to get that plugin working. I use it to facilitate a global search. If you think of anything, I would appreciate you passing it on.

In all my experience using it, pretty much since it was first developed, I think this is a first.

Redirection like that is usually indicative of mod_security having a hissy fit. Can you turn it off, or turn it off for WordPress?

Thanks everyone. I ended up wiping the site and starting over. On a test site I discovered that the plugin really doesn’t want the site to be called anything other than “tags”. Afer I changed the name to “all posts” I had the problems recur, but when I reloaded the site I just used “tags” from the get-go. No problems.
