Subtext for footer widget

    I’m using widget 2 for my picture, and would like a footer statement to go with it.
    How do I add a subtext below the image, (ideally with both image and text centered)?

  • Add html into the widget 2 area in Appearance->Widgets
    This will allow you to place whatever text you want and tag it appropriately, using your classes etc from the style sheet, or even add styling to the particular element in html if it is a one-off (not really the best practice for a general style).

    You can restyle the css for widget 2 in the Appearance->Customise->CSS by adding your own styles to the whole element. You may look into resizing everything, 100% wide outer element, size your photo to N% and add margins of 0 top and bottom and auto left and right.

    Just some ideas to start you on your way.
