Subtitle below breadcrumbs

    Hi,

    I am about to switch to BIMBER theme that recommends/supports your plugin and try everything in a test installation now and there is a problem:

    The subtitle is shown below the breadcrumbs as well.

    “Vitamin C” is the title – “… ohne Probleme” the 2. heading

    The option to display the secondary title on main articles only is activated but breadcrumbs are displayed there only, so…

    I know that I could “display:none;” the element but I would prefer to solve (and understand) the problem instead of concealing it only. I don’t mind a line of code in the functions.php.

    Thanks for your message.

    I’d love to help you, but without seeing the code, I can only guess. You’re right, display: none; would be the easiest way and not necessarily the worst, but if you want to go for a PHP solution, we first have to analyse how the breadcrumbs are displayed.

    The option you’ve mentioned only applies if the post data is within the loop. If it’s not, for example when using get_posts(), it won’t affect it. It’s a bit tricky to implement this without breaking the plugin for the 8,000+ users who use it in the “normal” way.

    Could you send me the theme to my email address ([email protected])? I could have a look then and see what I can do.

    By the way, I appreciate your willingness to use this kind of situations to learn something new. Keep it up!

    Thank you for your answer, it was my fault. BIMBER uses another plugin – yours was newly recommended by my current theme. Sorry for any inconvenience.
