    Hey there, Philip.
i love your idea and could make use of the plug on a school website I have put up recently for a school i work at. unfortunately the subtitles though entered and saved correctly do not show up. i have the feeling my theme does not grab the html to output the subs. do you have any idea on how i could manipulate my post template to make them show up? the page I refer to is public on https://www.smlu.net. Saludos!

This is how my page title is being rendered:

    <!– Page Title –>
    <div class=”row pagetitle”><h1>?Vamos Chile! ?Si se puede!</h1></div>

    Saludos!

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all other plugins deactivated?

I did this already and this solves the problem. I narrowed it down to the theme. Though my theme makes use of h1. Really strange. Still hope to find a workaround because I really love the idea!

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

I am using Zeitgeist and got it from Enveato! So far I did not have major problems with it or any concern. Though I now figured out that subtitles also no not show up in custom post types admin. Though this is not a problem because I need them in the posts only. Saludos!

Unfortunately, you appear to be using a commercial theme, so that limits the support options here as we do not have access to, nor do we support, commercial products. The only thing I can suggest is that you try contacting the developer of your commercial theme and see if s/he would be willing to liaise with the developer of the Subtitles plugin in order to sort this out.

Yeah, I see this. This is what I thought. I think I will give this a try when I cannot get it to work myself today. It is a wonderful idea and really helpful! Thanks a lot though. Really appreciated! Saludos!

    No problem ??

Hi Honkytonky. I’d be happy to help you troubleshoot this more if you open an Issue on GitHub and explain to me exactly where I can see this error on your site and exactly which template files you’re using in your theme. Esmi is right, because you’re using a commercial theme the support is a bit limited on my end, but if there’s anything I can do to help you quickly figure this out, I’d be happy to go a bit deeper with you and see what’s causing subtitles not to show up on your site. Thanks.
