    Can the plugin Slider by Soliloquy – Responsive Image Slider for WordPress also display subtitles or picture headings?

    Soliloquy Lite (our free version) will automatically show the slide captions by default.

    With our paid premium version, we do offer the ability to display both the slide titles and captions (with a bit of custom CSS). Here is a document that can walk you through that process.
