Subversion and forum password not the same?

  • I’m trying to add my plugin to the directory. It was approved ages ago, I just never got around to adding it. I’m on a Mac and just installed Subversion 1.5.0 (from here). I started following the directions (from documentation) and got stuck in the final step. Subversion asks for my username and password:

    Authentication realm: <https://svn.wp-plugins.org:80&gt; WordPress Trac – Login with forum username

    Typing in the same info that I use to get to this forum does not work. After trying that 3 times, I’m informed:

    svn: Commit failed (details follow):
    svn: CHECKOUT of ‘/!svn/ver/16625/word-count-10/trunk’: authorization failed (https://svn.wp-plugins.org)

    Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Since you were approved ages ago and never got around uploading your plugin maybe the admin suspended/deleted your account. Shoot them an email and ask them to see if they can reset your account.

    This is just an assumption not a fact.
