    Hello Woocommerce team,

When a customer updates their shipping address from the Cart page in order to get a glance at shipping costs, the success message (“Shipping costs updated”) is orange with a warning sign (triangle with an exclamation mark). IMO this should be a green success message with a check mark.

Could you please update this in the next release or point me to CSS to change this on my side?

    Thanks a lot.

    M

    Hi @maps1990,

This message isn’t part of the WooCommerce plugin; by default, the cart shipping calculator will update the shipping costs without displaying a confirmation. Your theme may have a template override for the cart page which displays the message. I’d recommend getting in touch with the theme author to see about changing it.

    Hi Tijosh,

    Thanks for your fast reply.

My theme devs told me this was part of Woocommerce and that they can’t change it, but that wouldn’t be the first time they lie, so I would be more inclined to trust you. Unfortunately my support expired, and given the bad service received I wasn’t planning on renewing it.

We can consider this part solved, another quick point though: still on Cart page, is there a real use of having a “City” part on top of the “Post code” part? Because I tried to enter random names that don’t exist, and I got a confirmation that shipping rates had been updated (while they were not, of course), and conversely entering only a correct post code without a city name seems to work just fine. So ideally I’d like to remove the City part if this is possible with some code?

    Thanks a lot,

    M

    Hello,

The city is not always used, it depends on what shipping methods you use. You can remove it via custom code. You can learn how to do that here: https://www.businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-how-to-hide-shipping-calculator-fields-cart/

Thank you Nicola & Tijosh! Marking as resolved
