Success response not showing for an upload form.

    As stated in the title, I have a contact form with an upload field. The form itself is working, as is the error response if you leave a field empty. However, when you fill everything in and upload a file, there is no success response.

    I took out the upload field on the form and the success response worked, and I have a lot of other forms up on the site (none with uploads), and their responses all work fine.

    Any ideas as to why the success response isn’t kicking in for the upload form? Many thanks.

    You are using Contact Form 7 3.5.1. The current version is 4.2. Update it first.

    I’ve had other problems with the newest version of CF7 (which is why I switched back to an older version that worked), but I’ll give it a try and post my results.

    Updated CF7 to the latest version. Now I get no response at all. No success response, and no error response when a required field isn’t filled.

    Any ideas?

    Probably this is a theme issue. jQuery and jquery.form.js are loaded multiple times. Try switching to the default theme.

    Well, ain’t that something. Switched to the default theme and you were right. The success response worked.

    I would swear I’d commented the initial calls out at one point and something stopped working. But I went through all the pages this time and couldn’t find anything that was affected by the lack of jQuery and jquery.form.js. I’m guessing that all of the current plugins are making their own calls.

    Until something goes horribly awry, or I feel secure enough that nothing will be adversely affected, I’ll leave them commented out.

    My sincere thanks for your help, and for a great plugin. My hat is off to you, sir.
