Suckerfish dropdown menu plugin conflicting with theme

greetings, I’ve been having trouble with the plugin that allows you to add a dropdown menu to your site. I’m using the Palaam theme and whenever i activate the plugin, the custom header file that i’ve created for the theme is positioned off the page and only the dropdown menu is seen along with the body of the site. Here’s how it looks:

I want to get the menu and the header file in the center of the page but it seems like the plugin is the one interfering the most. I’ve tried to insert the float, and position commands but they are futile. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
