Tablepress is great plugin but I think this plugin doesn’t worth it.

No wonder there has not been updates for the past 5 months since when I installed it. Guys this plugin doesn’t worth it.

The plugin can not manage greate number of rows. I have about 1000 rows and this plugins can no longer save updated new rows to the table.

I keep getting Internal server error. I have contacted my host severally. I have migrated to another host and even the third one yet tablepress keeps saying cannot save – internal server error. I think this is the problem with it.

The developer only created this plugin for basic rows less than 100 or 200 but I can tell you that tablepress cannot manage over 1000rows.

I have waited for an updated to correct this but none. I think its time I opt for ultimate tables – though it doesnt display updated rows in ascending manner. But its not a problem as far its updates.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I understand that you are angry, and I can assure you that issues like this bug me the most!

Unfortunately, making code scale, so that it works with large data sets, is one of the hardest things in IT. TablePress is not different here than other solutions.

You are totally right in that TablePress does not work nicely with very large tables. But then again, those should probably be stored in an actual database management system (e.g. a mySQL database) anyways. TablePress is not a replacement for that obviously.

I can also assure you that I’m working hard on supporting TablePress every day, but can only remind that I’m doing this as a hobby in my free time. While the plugin certainly can not solve every need and problem, I hope that it’s still useful to many users.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

    thanks, Jan!

myforex9ja, we should try to find out more about those “Internal Server Errors”. Your webhost must have more information about them in their PHP/server error log files.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

Hi @myforex9ja I’ve deleted your post as it was more inflammatory than useful.

As it has been already indicated, personal comments are not long permitted in these forums. Needless to say, as you appear to be done with this plugin I am closing this topic.

If you want to raise a new topic for a different problem then please do. But if it’s not civil then it will be deleted as well.
