Would you like to help me with an information please? I have a wordpress intalled on a local server with wamp and I want to develop my site offline and then only move it online.
I installed sucuri I generate the api key to activate, everything it’s ok, but after a while when I want to access the dashboard of sucuri plugin I receive again the same message with the api key.
My question is, is that a problem because I try to develop my site offline with sucuri or sucuri it can’t be activated offline?

  • Hi there,

That’s right, the plugin API key is for a particular URL and needs to be able to communicate with the API service for normal operation. In other words, for the plugin to be fully functional, it needs to be online and have an API key generated for the domain.

    I hope that helps!

    Kind regards,
    Eve

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your answer. I will give up to install it until my site it will be online. I will do DIY things to secure my site and then install sucuri.

    Have a great day,
    Dan
