Sucuri vs Dessky

    I have seen your plugin – what is the difference between yours and sucuri as you write that it is based on sucuri. Is it enhancing sucuri and adding more features to it or what is it?

    Hi Toremo,

    We are glad to hear that you’ve seen our plugin.

    Dessky Security is a standalone plugin and it does not require Sucuri plugin in any way.

    This plugin is very simple and have only WordPress hardening options, it does not have other advanced options that Sucuri has.

    We made Dessky Security because Sucuri although a very good plugin it uses a lot of server resources, this is especially true for sites that are on budget hosting. Sucuri is also bloated with lots of stuff that we do not actually need on most of sites.

    During years of work on various sites we have find out that WordPress plugins in general are simply not a right tools for advanced website protection and we prefer to add advanced protections on the server’s side whenever possible.
