    Hi.

    Last night one of our sites suddenly went down. When in recoverymode i updated all plugins (except WC) without it having any effect. Updating WC helped though.

    The “Your website is experiencing a technical problem”-email from WordPress shows the following details:

    The PHP errorlog shows this single error from last night, though:
    [11-Nov-2022 04:00:59 UTC] WordPress database error Server shutdown in progress for query SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘_transient_timeout_doing_cron’ LIMIT 1 made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘wp-load.php’), require_once(‘wp-config.php’), require_once(‘wp-settings.php’), do_action(‘wp_loaded’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, _wp_cron, spawn_cron, get_transient, get_option

    This error is generated approximately 20 minutes before the WP-email. The webserver had a planned shutdown at 4AM UTC, but I have never had this error appare, and cannot see the connection between this and the WC-error reported by WP.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Hello @vitsupport,

    Thank you for providing all this information. Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Also, is the site working at the time being?

    Thanks for you reply. Yes, the site only went down that night, and after updating WC, it was back up again.

I understand that the site returned to running in tip-top shape, after the updates were completed, from what I can see in its System Status Report and the lack of reporting to us the issue occurring again -unfortunately I cannot check for myself, given the absence of its URL in the SSR.

    Could you clarify if the issue occurred again, please?

    You are correct: The site went down once, and after the update it has been running as before. I understand it is hard to troubleshoot, but I promised our customer (shop owner) I would try and see what I could find out.

    Since a few more days have passed, meanwhile, I’d like to loop back and inquire if the issue appeared again.
