Sudden errors when moving site from http to https
-
Good afternoon!
I have been using BackWPup plugin for several years and everything seems to work fine almost always.
Mid August the two backup jobs (one for database backup, and one complete backup) I was using started throwing errors, mainly related to database connection problems and memory size allocation. Problems are repeating during the past weeks, and I’m associating them with moving my site from http to https, as the errors started appearing in the same dates. Maybe it’s just my paranoia…
Just in case, I’ve deleted both jobs and I’ve created a new simple database backup job, but I’m still seeing “Step aborted: too many attemps” error in the log just after it says “Database backup done”. Strange, isn’t it?
Apparently the resulting .sql file is being generated and placed in the right folder, but I’m quite confused with the error I mention.
Moreover, any option I change when editing the job, through the admin interface, seems like it’s not properly saved. For example, I indicate that it’s a database backup job, to only send email when there is an error, and that I want to backup all database tables. I press “save” in each step, but when I come back to edit the job, the selected options have disappeared. very-very strange.
Hope somebody can give me some light on this.
Just in case, I’m using BackWPup versión 3.6.0 on WordPress 4.9.8.
Thanks and best regards,
