Sudden "Failed sending the message" with all gmail, hotmail etc

    I use Contact Form 7 (Version 4.2.2) across a lot of websites and it useully works flawlessly, but one site has started making trouble all of a sudden.

    I’ve narrowed it down to be a problem with the senders email address. It works with all “non public” email-addresses I have access to, like @wubaduck.dk, @andersfischer.dk and @barbasen.dk (all on different servers), but it gives me the “Failed sending the message. Please try again later or contact administrator by other means.” error, when trying something like a Gmail or Hotmail.

    EXCEPT when sending through the English version of the site/form; here everything works just fine

    I’ve tried to deactivate all plugins but Contact form, no change.

    All very strange and I’d appreciate any help I can get ??

    I just removed the Danish contact form because I was missing customer-emails, but another Contact form on the site that doesn’t work either, can be found here

    @kbbajer happen to me similar and I found the solution, I tell you how.
    I found the solution with the help of my email provider.
    The problem was not in the mail server it was in the wordpress last update.
    When I did the last wordpress update it changed a parameter, particularly in the dashboard, in the settings tab, in the mail option , in mailer, WordPress select “Send all emails via SMTP option” but in my case my provider told me I have to change for the option under this “Use the PHP mail ( ) function to send emails”.
    After that now it is working perfect.
    I hope someone have this problem can resolved with this advice.
