Sudden problems in adminstration

  • Im suddenly experiencing strange behavior in administration. First the TinyMCE toolbar in the visual editor dissapeared. Disabling Headspace2 plugin made it come back. But I’ve been using Headspace for weeks now.

    Secondly the checkbox which selects / deselects all plugins in the plugins page does not do anything. And it is as if the plugins list is incomplete. The numbers stated in active and inactive plugins does not match with the numbers in the list.

    Updating the admin profile also gives an error ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE)

    I could understand it if I had changed anything recently but I have not. And other WP installs on the same server works fine so cannot be that.

    Hope someone has some ideas as to what I can do.

    First, make sure that you haven’t run out of space with your hosting provider.

    If you haven’t, access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin, check all of the tables, and choose “Repair tables” from the pull-down menu.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    Space is not the issue. Tried repairing the tables but did not help.

    Tried import of db from several days ago where the problem was not there for sure. But still the same problem.

    So I’m a bit lost.

    ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE seems to be browser related, can you try another browser?

    If only for a minute to test.
