• I wasn’t the one that selected this plugin to use on the site in question, but I hadn’t had any real troubles out of it (other than the inability to order the social links if using custom icons). Today, updated the plugin to find that it added a banner to admin panel trying to get me to sign up for some service and use other plugins. I would be fine if this was just on the plugin’s settings page, but its all over the admin which is highly unwelcome. At little as social media accounts change, when I find time I’ll be adding these URLs via a widget myself and uninstalling this plugin.

  • Yes. This. I’ve had it on my list of things to do for quite a while, to find a better implementation for social media links; am now motivated to do the job.
