  • I just installed the plugin and I am having the same issue. (I never saw any other fonts though)

I’m glad that I’m not the only one with this problem. Hope the developer can come up with a solution.

    Same issue here…
It was working fine a while ago.

Developer: Is there any info you need from us that might help you find the solution?

In my case, I’m running Version 1.3.9 of your plugin along with WordPress 4.4.2.

Also, made sure that the plugin folder had the necessary rights to read, write and even modify, but no dice.

Also, if it would be possible that you could tell me how to completely clean any reference to the plugin in my project’s database, so that I can perform a thorough and complete re-install. I need the string parameter value to search for in my SQL SELECT statement, so that I can completely clean my database of any reference to your plugin. That way I can securely and efficiently re-install it nice and clean.

Thank you for your time and effort.

    Hi everyone,
The only reason something like this would occur would be if the software on the server has been changed. I’d recommend getting an api key that way it will work all of the time regardless of the server setup. You can find instructions on how to do that here. Cheers

Thank you for your answer, Mr. Johal.

However, one can’t help but to wonder what do you mean by “a change in software on the server”. To what aspect of the server’s software are you referring to?

Respectfully, even though the solution you offered is straightforward and quick, when one hasn’t changed the server’s software then one can’t help but wonder…

    Hi,
I’m referring to the php version or some other module on the server (like magic quotes for example) that would affect the ability for the plugin to use the json_decode php function to execute correctly. Cheers

P.S. this plugin has a transient that stores the list of fonts and resfreshes every two weeks. So if it worked initially and suddenly doesn’t work when it is refreshed (and you haven’t changed your theme/plugin) then it is likely to be a server issue.

Thanks, Sunny – your solve worked for me. Updated my key and all the fonts are there. Mine is not to reason why, I’m just happy when everything works. :o)

I’m having kind of the opposite problem – the Google Fonts were working great last week, and then today after I hooked up the API Key, I have only the Standard Web Fonts in my list. Any idea what might be wrong? I didn’t check today before adding the API Key to see if Google Fonts were working, so that might or might not be related to the API Key. But adding the API Key definitely didn’t solve it. Up until this point the plugin was working great and very useful – thanks for any suggestions you can provide to get it working again.

Nevermind about my last post – I read some more of the support threads and decided to check to see if there were any extra spaces around my newly-entered API Key – turns out that was the culprit. Removing the space solved the problem and Google Fonts are working now. Yay!
