    Hi,

We constantly update the site, add or remove plugins, themes, etc’.

We recently experienced an extremely slow load time when loggin in, when going from a frontend page to it’s edit screen and after hitting update on a post or page edit. Inspecting the timeline in chrome, the TTFB before any content is loaded is suddenly 25 seconds or more.

The only major change we made lately is switching to Divi theme, however I switched back to Twenty Thirteen and nothing changed. I started turning off plugins and when we turned off Securi the TTFB went to less than 1 second. We had this plugin for awhile and never had issue so I was wondering if there is a conflict with something else.

All plugins and themes are up to date.

    Please advise. Thanks

  • I am not completely sure but that sounds like an issue with the execution time of the DNS lookup in the plugin or the HTTP requests sent to the API. Go to the “API Service” panel located in the plugin’ settings page and disable it, then do the same with the DNS lookup disabling the “IP Discoverer” tool, test the TTPB after each change and let me know if it works, I want to improve the performance of these things but there are other tasks that have more priority right now, but if we have more information about this issue I can increase the priority of the optimizations.

Thank you. After turning off API Services nothing changed but after turning off IP Discoverer TTFB dropped back to a couple of seconds. I appreciate the help!

We have come across the same issue while using X-theme with Cornerstone front end editor. The save takes up to 10 seconds longer while API Services are enabled.
