    Hello,
I’ve been using Jetpack for many years.
    Never had any issues.

I’m trying to connect WordPress and Jetpack after I had to deactivate all my plugins for a few seconds.

Now I get an error message when I try to connect:

“Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: xml_rpc-32700
    Try connecting again.

Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site’s XML-RPC URL. Please check to make sure https://zoomingjapan.com/xmlrpc.php is working properly. It should show ‘XML?RPC server accepts POST requests only.’ on a line by itself when viewed in a browser and should not have any blank links or extra output anywhere.”

It shows exactly what it should. Jet Jetpack won’t connect.

    What can I do?

By the way, I tried to delete the plugin and installed the newest version again. Same error.

I deleted the plugin again and tried an older version. Same error again.

I also already tried EVERYTHING that I could find and apparently worked for others like:
    – disabling W3 Total Cache (or any other type of caching)
    – check htaccess file for any empty lines
    – nginx-varnish thing (doesn’t apply to me)
    – also tried this one: https://www.passwordincorrect.com/jetpack-cant-connect-to-your-wordpress/

    NOTHING WORKS!
    I’m out of ideas.
And it’s not like Jetpack never worked. It has ALWAYS worked for many years and I haven’t changed anything I’m aware of. Just after deactivating and activating it, it suddenly won’t connect anymore.

I defered a few of my Javascript files recently. Could that be the cause by any chance?

Thanks for getting in touch! I ran a few tests from our end, and Jetpack appears to be properly connected at the moment. Are you still experiencing trouble? If so, can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on “Help” tab in the upper right side of the page and click the link for “Jetpack Debugging Center.”
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!

    Already did all of that.

In the end I figured it out on my own.
There was some buggy code in the functions.php of the wp-includes folder.

I noticed after some time that not only Jetpack, but some of my other plugins also had error messages they never had before.

    Thank you.
