Suddenly can’t logon anymore: “An error was encountered while trying to…”

  • Suddenly i can’t logon anymore, untile i deactivate via FTP the plugin.
    the error I get is: “An error was encountered while trying to authenticate. Please try again.”

    I also have wordfence installed, but this can’t even reveal the failed login, as the username and password are not really send to the website.
    I tried to deactivate wordfence too, but the only thing that works is to deactivate protect wp-admin plugin.
    I also tried to delete it and reinstall again.
    I also tried to change the url for the new admin, but nothing of these things works.
    Any help?
