Suddenly can't upload images, post links or add tags

  • Please note I don’t know what version of WordPress I am using.. I just started blogging on the website and can’t seem to find this info anywhere. I don’t think I ever really installed WordPress.. I just started blogging after registering! Sorry newb! Anyway I was able to post with much success but now…..

    Suddenly I can’t upload images, links or tags. Everything worked fine an hour ago with posting images. Then I tried adding a link – it deleted my post instead. Tried a different browser, it just went back to the main dashboard after I clicked ‘Ok’ in the add link window.

    Adding tags just doesn’t work either suddenly. Like it’s not responding. Same with the upload image icon. Nothing happens when I click on it. This happened suddenly so it’s very curious.

    Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  • No help I’m afraid… but I am also having a similar problem. This morning I tries to create a new post and I cannot add an image. The button is there but nothing happens. I have been through trying to disable plugins, using different browsers… nothing helps.
    Hopefully someone will see these posts and help work through this problem.

    Having the same issues…whenever I try to add a link, I get kicked back to the Post page. Do wordpress moderators ever check these forums out…waste of time?

    I’m beginning to think this problem must be browser related somehow. I can’t get to my Dashboard or some of the other items directly either. I have to select menus first and then navigate from there. Anything else is completely ignored.

    So any assistance, or experience of others, would be very welcome. I have tried Firefox and Internet Explorer and have the same problem with both… will download and try Chrome next.

    Thanks for any insights. This is quote frustrating and I just released a text only post just because I could..! It could have done with a section on something else but I needed an image, so I left it out.

    Just a quick update. I can now do everything I needed in Google Chrome. So I think this is a browser issue… maybe a recent update of Java which I did take screwed this up… don’t really know.

    But good to know that MSIE and FF do not work for me. Google Chrome does.

    Update – Everything works now. Images, Links, and Tags.
    I changed nothing must have been on their end.

    Hope everyone gets theirs working too!
