Suddenly images not being displayed

Hi NginUS … just adding to you support ticket as I am having the same issue / so Moch Amir knows it is more than a single instance … not sure of the route cause … but maybe Google made some updates with the issues they were experiencing with Google Drive yesterday.

Hopefully Moch Amir can identify the route cause of the issue / a fix ??

Hi NginUS … just a update I have found out … I was onto Google yesterday and found out that their “host” service has been deprecated since the 1st of August … which forms part of this plugin … so you will notice the urls for the images being with …

https://www.googledrive.com/host/

Essentially you will get a 502 error if you hit the image directly approx one in five times … and it will eventually get worse.

I have discovered if you use “https://docs.google.com/uc?id=” with the image id at the end … instead of “https://www.googledrive.com/host/” … it will work.

So maybe if the plugin could be updated with that it could work … but maybe there is a better solution.

Hi everybody,
does anyone knows why if i check “Google Drive as Default Media Upload Storage” attached files aren’t visibles in the ticket view of “awesome-support” module?

On the other hand, I can see attached files in Media list but they appear as “non-attached” and if i uncheck “Google Drive as Default Media Upload Storage” in the module conf, they appears.

I need to save files in Google drive because of lack of storage.

and I have the same problem, i see the photos in googledrive, but does not display in the media library. (i see the links, but i take a broken icon)

– go to plugin editor -> Plugin Files -> google-drive-wp-media/google-drive-wp-media.php
– change all mentions (in script as below) https://www.googledrive.com/host/ to https://docs.google.com/uc?id=

This fix works except for the Media Library shows a generic thumbnail. Clicking on it shows the expanded one. So something’s not quite right. Anyone have any ideas?

More info, I tried to use another PlugIn to resize the images and got this error:

failed to resize. The error message was: The originally uploaded image file cannot be found at …\wwwroot/wp-content/uploads/G_D_W_P_M-ImageFile_ID/…

So seems like this plug in is no longer saving the thumbnails or pointing to the thumbnails folder in google drive.
