Suddenly inaccessible website

  • I had a website which was working fine since a couple of months already. It is now unavailable since today, as if the address did not exist. Any idea what’s going on here? (we still have hosting+DNS) or what it could be?

  • I would check with your host first.

    Can you even get to a blank page (white screen of death)?

    Also posting the URL can sometimes help people to help you.

    Thanks for your answer Saildude and sorry but I cannot post here the url right now..

    I am having 2 kinds of error depending on when I am trying to connect:
    1) first one is “Browser cannot connect”
    2) second one is “Internal Server Error”, The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. etc.

    Any idea what it can be?

    I can’t be of much more help, but at least the next people that drop in have a better idea of the problem.

    I did put “Internal Server Error” into the search box and found 950 references maybe one of them will help in the interim: https://www.ads-software.com/search/internal+server+error?forums=1

    The help here is all done by unpaid volunteers and they come by from all over the world and many are professional WordPress developers so your chances are good that you will get some good help.

    Thanks a lot Saildude, apparently problem was from the hosting company: asmallorange.
    Still it did not last long, very satisfied by this company services up to now..
